OFest 2018 Long (25.06.2018)

Epic trip in proper wilderness terrain.

Looking forward to this race a lot, but honestly been feeling pretty wrecked all week since Jukola. Made it round but with some big mistakes 2 and 10. Also my world ranking is better than a lot of Norwegians (because I am able to compete at more international races) so I am overseeded. Was a bit tough mentally getting caught and passed by quite a few people even though I was going at a reasonable speed.

2-Took the right-hand routechoice, trickier approach to control and made a parallel mistake off some boulders after taking a sloppy compass bearing from the crag. (2.5mins)

3-Another parallel error off the hilltop.

Got caught by Gaute train and held onto the brutal pace until 9. Then was quite far behind both Gaute and Håkon.

10- With Håkon only and feeling wrecked. Thought I had gone much futher in the thick forest than I had and stopped too early. (90sec).

11-Finish. Håkon sprinted away after that mistake and I was bored of getting caught and following so took my own routechoice to 10. Felt like a zombie for the rest but made it :)
